Anastasia Beverly Hills recently debuted a new palette called She Wears It Well. It was designed with old Hollywood Glamour in mind and has just enough taupe to qualify for my Taupe-tastic Tuesday post! See what I did there? haha

I got the TotalBeauty Collection box last week and I was super excited to see the goodies they included inside. A few facts about this sample box first: no subscription necessary, each box contains 4-5 samples - which could be cosmetics, skincare or hair care, runs $15 a box, and there is a limited supply of each box. Because there is no subscription necessary and the limited supply you better purchase fast if you want it each month. :)

Hello folks! I am not quite sure if you noticed that I added BlogHerTV to the top right corner of my blog. It is a new option that BlogHer offers to their network and I wasn't quite sure I was going to do it at first, but after watching a few of the short clips I was really into it. The first clip I watched was on Balenciaga and the second clip I watched was on the many ways to accessorize scarves. I thought it was a smart addition to my page and I think many of you guys (my readers) would enjoy it.
If you have a minute take a quick peek! They are pretty short and very entertaining. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

I am a huge night owl. I stay up so late (mostly blogging and searching the interwebz for beauty products) and I often need something to pull me back to reality. Reality being the fact that I have a regular job I need to go to usually a few hours after I go to bed! *DOH* The Lavande scent from Le Chatelard 1802 has been helping sooth my senses!

Hello everyone. I wanted to share this with you really quickly. There is a sale going on currently on SkinCareRX (and their sister store) for 25% off. Some brands are excluded, but hurry and check it out before all the good stuff is sold out!

Well... I do feel that the song is appropriate... who likes Mondays? I am trying to make them more enjoyable by talking about my most recent obsession... nail polish. :) Today's mani is a few different brights... I had planned on doing a nude but I was outside playing with the fam by the pool on Sunday (the day I do my nails for Manic(ure) Mondays) and chose to do something a bit more fun. I know that these pictures of my nails are pretty much TERRIBLE but I didn't clean them up before snapping pics.

Free form palettes are all the rage in the last few years. Many of us ladies are looking to consolidate all of the single eyeshadows or blushes in our collection because we have collected quite a lot and the individual items take up a lot of room. Or maybe you are a makeup artist and you don't wanna lug around a few different palettes or singles, you just want to pop what you are gonna need into one palette and go to your gig. One thing that can be a bit aggravating about many free form palettes is that they are magnetic, so it makes depotting the individual eyeshadows quite a process because you have to attach a magnet onto the back of it. Stick With It is a new type of palette on the market that doesn't require all hassle...
It has been a while since I did a personal-type "What's going on with me..." post. I figured I would catch you up on what I did this week.
I did a reviewtorial (oh yeah, just created that word) earlier in the week on the H2Pro Beauty Life Vivace 1" Flat Iron and after I did the tutorial I snapped a quick picture. You can really see how long my hair has gotten. Everytime I see a picture of myself like this I am even a little astonished. It makes me laugh because 5 years ago or so I had a Victoria Beckham inverted bob and I was so petrified about how I looked with hair that short I haven't ever given it a real cut or style since. I have really enjoyed my long hair, and since I have let it get long I have more options with it. I intensify the natural wavy-ness of my hair quite often recently... Summer no-fuss, no-muss.

I am soooooooo lazy when it comes to taking nail polish off my nails. I feel like the removal process can be so cumbersome. You have cotton balls and or pads and then the remover you have to dump on that... my husband always complains about the scent of the polish remover, then you have to trash it and the trash can reeks of the stink of the polish remover! The other day I ran out of polish remover so I made a quick trip to CVS, and was looking for something different. When I saw this jar it instantly reminded me of my childhood. It is their Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover in a Jar with a Sponge and a dauber inside.

Hello my lovely readers! You may remember that I entered the Smashbox "Lights, Camera, BB!" Facebook contest a few months back and I was actually that week's winner. I finally received my package in the mail and it was full of goodies! Not only did I win, but so did you! I will tell you more about that in a minute! :)

An awesome friend (and fellow blogger) sent me the Shu Uemura Nobara Cream Cover Stick Foundation a few months back and I have absolutely used the heck out of it. This is the stick version of the ever-famous, ever-popular Nobara Cream Foundation. It is formulated to give the great coverage of a concealer with the smoothness of a foundation. Let's see if it does just that...

The second installment of Taupe-tastic Tuesday is going to feature my most recently purchase taupe: by Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock. I have been lusting after this baby for quite some time now but been too shy to pull the trigger on this fantastic purchase. It has a high price tag so I thought long and hard before my splurge. I don't have a store nearby to check out this brand in person so I try to be extra careful when ordering online blind.

Sometimes I like doing a simple one color manicure. Sometimes all the fancy is just too much. Heck, 6 months back my nails were always au natural! I hardly even wore polish. I enjoy going back to the basics once in a while. Sally Hansen Celeb City is a perfect polish to stand alone.
I purchased this polish when I was at Walgreens one night and I stumbled into a FULL rack of the new Essie Mirror Mirror collection. I immediately wanted them all because I have a think for metallic looking polishes. I was feeling particularly guilty about how much I have spent on nail polish recently so I shy'd away from spending the amount an Essie costs and searched the Sally Hansen area, which is about half as expensive and still awesome. AS SOON as my eyes landed on Celeb City my breath was taken away. I kid you not... my first thought was that it looks exactly like a silver version of Chanel's Delight. I still stand by that opinion.
Do you own any of the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails collection? If so, what is your favorite shade? Let me know in the comments below.

This is my second Sample Society box from BeautyBar.com. I enjoyed my first box and even purchased a full sized item from it with the $15 off voucher... Let's see if the 2nd box was just as good...

I have an extreme love affair with taupe... like you didn't already know? I am going to start doing a series on my favorite taupes. I am going to do my best to show ones that are still available, but I can't make any promises. One of my hobbies is collecting taupes that are hard to find so I have a lot of them. Most of the hard to find ones were found on blog sales or other various places on the internet. The first being from a Kose line called Addiction in the shade Flashback.

Hello all! I recently received the June 2012 GlossyBox for the US and I wanted to share it's contents with you. The theme of this month's box was summer simplicity and the products were put together to help your inner beauty shine!

I don't think I am the only one that second guesses myself before a cosmetics purchase. I get weary of my weakness/love for all things makeup. When new collections come out I cannot help but drool over them, but I am to the point now that I have an ESTABLISHED collection and my color preferences are very well set so I question when I actually need to make a new purchase.
Unfortunately it can also be a bad thing... I sit back and second guess myself too much sometimes and let items that I really truly want slip away, which is what happened with the ever elusive MAC Azalea Blossom. It was released in December 2011 in a Limited Edition collection, so I was sure I would never see it again.
I was recently strolling through my local Target and I saw that a set of limited edition Sonia Kashuk brushes were clearanced. I have been wanting them for a while and always eye them up whilst shopping. I always pass them up though because I own so many brushes and I am trying to be good and only purchase things I need. *LOL-yeah right!* I could NOT pass them up this go round... and clearance means that they are doing away with them so I had to grab it if I ever wanted it.

Summer is here and it is time to get your skin polished. I have been trying Beauty & Truth's Illuminating Scrub lately and really have enjoyed it. Exfoliating has always been very important to me. I love knowing that my skin looks fresh and new vs old and tired. There are lots of benefits to exfoliation: clearing out pores, fading wrinkles and fine lines, and cell renewel. Your skin will achieve a more plump youthful glow.
First thing I want to address about the Illuminating Scrub is this great packaging. Simple, black and white, but oh so chic. Also... I love damask (if you can't tell from my background), so the label is super pretty to me!

As you may can tell by the title of this post, Too Faced Cosmetics has named me one of their Beauty Bloggers of the Month for July 2012. I am shocked and proud and ... without words (for the first time in my life)! I did actually submit a recent review to compete for the title but I never thought in a MILLION years that I would win it!
In turn, they gave me a $50 e-gift card to give away here on the blog. It does expire at the end of July so I am making this giveaway fairly short. It will run as soon as this post goes up all the way til July 7th which is Saturday. I want whoever wins to have plenty of time to pick out what they want and be able to use the card accordingly! Thanks for understanding! If you have any questions, feel free to address them with me and I will clarify!
Thanks for being so loyal and awesome! I feel like if it weren't for my readers, I wouldn't hold this title. I get my encouragement to keep writing from you all and I love being blessed with ways to give back to YOU!
