REVIEW: TotalBeauty Collection Box July 2012

I got the TotalBeauty Collection box last week and I was super excited to see the goodies they included inside.  A few facts about this sample box first: no subscription necessary, each box contains 4-5 samples - which could be cosmetics, skincare or hair care, runs $15 a box, and there is a limited supply of each box.  Because there is no subscription necessary and the limited supply you better purchase fast if you want it each month.  :)

Hello folks!  I am not quite sure if you noticed that I added BlogHerTV to the top right corner of my blog.  It is a new option that BlogHer offers to their network and I wasn't quite sure I was going to do it at first, but after watching a few of the short clips I was really into it.  The first clip I watched was on Balenciaga and the second clip I watched was on the many ways to accessorize scarves.  I thought it was a smart addition to my page and I think many of you guys (my readers) would enjoy it.

Review: Le Chatelard 1802 Lavande

I am a huge night owl.  I stay up so late (mostly blogging and searching the interwebz for beauty products) and I often need something to pull me back to reality.  Reality being the fact that I have a regular job I need to go to usually a few hours after I go to bed! *DOH*  The Lavande scent from Le Chatelard 1802 has been helping sooth my senses!

Taupe-tastic Tuesday: Cargo Yukon

What is the definition of taupe?  Merriam-Webster defines it as a brownish grey.  I feel that taupes are much more complex than Merriam-  Webster's definition, but they set the standard of defining.  I would say that Cargo Yukon eyeshadow depicts the famous dictionary's words perfectly.

Manic(ure) Monday: Summer Brights

Well... I do feel that the song is appropriate... who likes Mondays?  I am trying to make them more enjoyable by talking about my most recent obsession... nail polish.  :)  Today's mani is a few different brights... I had planned on doing a nude but I was outside playing with the fam by the pool on Sunday (the day I do my nails for Manic(ure) Mondays) and chose to do something a bit more fun.  I know that these pictures of my nails are pretty much TERRIBLE but I didn't clean them up before snapping pics.  

Review: Stick With It Palette

Free form palettes are all the rage in the last few years.  Many of us ladies are looking to consolidate all of the single eyeshadows or blushes in our collection because we have collected quite a lot and the individual items take up a lot of room.  Or maybe you are a makeup artist and you don't wanna lug around a few different palettes or singles, you just want to pop what you are gonna need into one palette and go to your gig.  One thing that can be a bit aggravating about many free form palettes is that they are magnetic, so it makes depotting the individual eyeshadows quite a process because you have to attach a magnet onto the back of it.  Stick With It is a new type of palette on the market that doesn't require all hassle... 

Sunday Ramble: Let's Catch Up!

It has been a while since I did a personal-type "What's going on with me..." post.  I figured I would catch you up on what I did this week.  

I did a reviewtorial (oh yeah, just created that word) earlier in the week on the H2Pro Beauty Life Vivace 1" Flat Iron and after I did the tutorial I snapped a quick picture.  You can really see how long my hair has gotten.  Everytime I see a picture of myself like this I am even a little astonished.  It makes me laugh because 5 years ago or so I had a Victoria Beckham inverted bob and I was so petrified about how I looked with hair that short I haven't ever given it a real cut or style since.  I have really enjoyed my long hair, and since I have let it get long I have more options with it.  I intensify the natural wavy-ness of my hair quite often recently... Summer no-fuss, no-muss.
