Sample Society October 2012
As you can see by the title this is the October 2012 Sample Society box from BeautyBar.com. This box runs $15 a month but always includes a $15 gift code to redeem on a purchase that includes at least one item from one of the brand's in that months box. They don't expect you to use it before the month is over or anything, they do allow you a couple of months or so to get a feel for that brand before the code expires.
This month's box featured all deluxe sample size products. They typically include a makeup product but this box didn't have one. They did include an extra this go round, which is the first I remember. I could be wrong but I don't recall an "extra" being thrown in ever before.
The products included in this box are:
Jane Iredale Tantasia Self Tanner (full size retails for $36)
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment (full size retails for $85)
Aromachology Clean & Fresh Eau de Parfum (full size retails for $100)
Oscar Blandi Pronto Wet Hair Care (full size retails for $24)
Erno Laszlo Phormula 3-9 Repair Balm (full size retails for $245)
Extra: Herban Essentials Lavendar Towelette
Overall this box was a complete flop for me. :/ Some people may like the overload in skincare, but I am not interested in a single item... Okay, maybe the towelette. I have had some of these little towelettes before and I love having little things like this in my handbag for emergencies. The shampoo is sort of promising too. The perfume smells good, sort of like fresh laundry. This is the 2nd box in a row that were kind of flops for me. I typically enjoy this box but I guess I am going to give it one more month and if I am not excited about at least ONE thing in it I am going to be forced to cancel. I would expect something backed by Allure magazine to have products that are more alluring! Yes, pun intended.
