Taupe-tastic Tuesday: MAC Moth Brown

Most of you MAC fans out there know that they recently repromoted Moth Brown, so I thought now was a good time to include it in a Taupe-tastic Tuesday post.  Hopefully you can get your hands on it while it is out this time!  It is a sought-after taupe and for good reason...

MAC describes this eyeshadow as a soft metallic grey/brown.  It is a frost finish, so it does have shimmer.  

The one that I have is from a previous collection from a few years ago, so I cannot speak for the new one completely.  I will go on to say that this eyeshadow is perfectly soft in texture.  I would describe this as a purple-ish grey with a hint of brown.  My favorite use for this eyeshadow is to darken up the outer v, and it makes for a gorgeous smokey eye!  

The swatch above is in direct sunlight with part of the swatch going into the shadow.  This picture really shows off it diversity.  Looking at it straight on you see purple/grey but you can see in the shadow that it has a nice brown quality to it.  

The swatch below was taken in door with a flash.  You can see all 3 colors (purple, grey, and brown) peeking throw with the peaks and valleys of my skin.  It does have a slightly metallic feel to it and the shimmer is one of sophistication.  I don't experience a lot of fallout with this eyeshadow and it is one of my most favorite MAC eyeshadows of all time!

I urge you to get your hands on MAC Moth Brown while it is out this go round... YOU NEVER KNOW when they will repromote their limited editions and it is heart breaking to hunt them down after they are gone!  Go, now... RUN! :D  It currently retails for $15 USD at anywhere MAC Cosmetics is sold.
