CLOSED: Review and GIVEAWAY: Smashbox Softbox Palette

Hello my lovely readers!  You may remember that I entered the Smashbox “Lights, Camera, BB!” Facebook contest a few months back and I was actually that week’s winner.  I finally received my package in the mail and it was full of goodies!  Not only did I win, but so did you!  I will tell you more about that in a minute! :)

When I was picking the items that I was interested in receiving I thought carefully.  I didn’t want a trendy something or other… I wanted things that were going to be staple pieces.  A palette of neutral eyeshadows was definitely in order!  So here is my review of the Smashbox Softbox palette.
I think this is a great palette because it includes shimmery and matte colors and there is a bit of variety in the colors.  Top row L to R: Fizz, Pebble, and Minx.  Bottom row L to R: Vanilla, Ignite, and Sienna.

Fizz is a beautiful shimmery champagne, so the name is absolutely PERFECT!
Pebble is a nice matte medium cool toned brown, another great name choice.
Minx is a lovely shade of taupe, so it is obviously one of my favorite colors in the palette.
Vanilla is a matte cream color, a few different brands have a similar shade with the same name and color.
Ignite is a gorgeous bronzy coppery shimmer.
Sienna is a nice shimmery cocoa brown.
The swatches above were done outside in direct sunlight (with my arm outstretched over my pool :D) and the swatches below are done indoors with a flash.  As you can see from the swatches there is a row of cool tones and a row of warm tones.  I like that each row has an anchoring matte shade, one dark and one light.
The eyeshadows were soft and pigmented.  They all blended well with each other.  I wore all the colors in the palette a couple times to get a good idea of how they work.  I even mixed these shades with other formulas with other brands and they still worked perfectly.  They lasted through a 10 hour work day as well as a fun outdoor weekend night.  I give this palette 2 thumbs up.  I have no complaints what-so-ever.
So now for the giveaway…
I was given a few extra palettes so I wanted to give them to you, my readers!  3 lucky people will be chosen at random… all you need to do is follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter widget and you will be entered to win.  You can tweet about it everyday to get an extra entry!  I am going to make this contest run for 3 weeks and it is open internationally.  If you are under the age of 18 you will need to have your parents permission to enter!  Good luck everyone!
