MAC Azalea Blossom
I don't think I am the only one that second guesses myself before a cosmetics purchase. I get weary of my weakness/love for all things makeup. When new collections come out I cannot help but drool over them, but I am to the point now that I have an ESTABLISHED collection and my color preferences are very well set so I question when I actually need to make a new purchase.
Unfortunately it can also be a bad thing... I sit back and second guess myself too much sometimes and let items that I really truly want slip away, which is what happened with the ever elusive MAC Azalea Blossom. It was released in December 2011 in a Limited Edition collection, so I was sure I would never see it again.
I literally wanted it before it ever came out but hesitation ruined it all... so luckily a found a lady that was getting rid of hers and I got a great deal for it. I am completely in love. I think I was hesitant because of the fact that it is sooo cool toned and I typically wear warm toned blush. Never the mind... it looks great on my skin.
I know this isn't the first time any of you MAC Addicts have seen this blush but I had to do my own post anyway! I love this and I think it is absolutely stunning... It is a cool satin/shimmer bubble-gum pink that fades into a lilac purple.
I did a finger swatch but it is hard to show you. You can see that it replicates the gradient.
And here are the swatches... When you swipe it you will get a blurred ombre affect but if you swirl it all together you get a beautifully interesting shade of pink.
Same swatches with a flash!
Hope you guys enjoyed my little walk down happiness lane... You know what they say... If you love something set it free, if it returns it is yours forever! I love you, MAC Azalea Blossom!

I had azalea blossom and then lucked out at a CCO and found three ripe peaches last year. I ended up trading off and selling them all. No regrets here. I did the same thing with Studio Rose and other LE's. I got them because of hype and then didn't love them like I wanted to. Glad you love yours though!
ReplyDeleteI am sorta wishing I would have picked up Ripe Peach
DeleteI wanted this when it originally came out in the Spring Colour Forecast collection, but I ended up not getting it and regretting it. I made sure to buy it when it was repromoted in the Daphne Guinness collection. I don't know if I just got a bad one, or what, because mine literally has no pigmentation. I can use a lot of pressure on it and still pick up pretty much no product.
ReplyDeleteMe too.... I totally was sort of ignoring MAC at that time though.... Trying to stay away from the addiction! :)
DeleteThis blush looks beautiful! I never try a blush with purple undertone:)
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever do either!
DeleteI love this blush! It is one of my most treasure makeup items! I love that it is purple and pink and the name is so pretty too~
ReplyDeleteAgreed! :) <3 I love the two colors and together in one pan? *DIEZ*
DeleteI got mine from that February release. I had wish I purchased the peach one too >_< The thing about MAC is that you gotta be quick with your decisions and get what you want ASAP, but its also nice to see re-releases on things you missed out. For me, I can't wait for the Marilyn Manroe collection, because I didn't get Scarlet Ibis. Then there is the MAC by Request, where it might be candy yum yum and mothbrown :) Glad you were able to get your hands on it!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I am interested in the Marilyn collection too! *tries to remember, tries to remember*
DeleteThis is very pretty and I regret that I didn't pick this. Looking at your picture makes me wants it more and more and more :(
ReplyDeleteI am sure you can search it out if you really want it!
DeleteI have and love this!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great?
