Lazy Girl's Nail Polish Removal

I am soooooooo lazy when it comes to taking nail polish off my nails.  I feel like the removal process can be so cumbersome.  You have cotton balls and or pads and then the remover you have to dump on that... my husband always complains about the scent of the polish remover, then you have to trash it and the trash can reeks of the stink of the polish remover!  The other day I ran out of polish remover so I made a quick trip to CVS, and was looking for something different.  When I saw this jar it instantly reminded me of my childhood.  It is their Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover in a Jar with a Sponge and a dauber inside.

When I was a kid I remember having these little jars or tubs but for whatever reason I stopped buying them! WHY?  Why did I ever stop purchasing these?  They are fantastic!

The jar itself is filled with polish remover and there is a sponge that sits inside as well.  There are 3 slits inside the sponge and you stick your fingers into the slits, wiggle and twist them around and rub them against the sponge and when you pull your fingernail out there is no polish on it anymore.  It is super quick and has actually encouraged me to experiment with my nails more often.  Another great innovation (since I was a kid) is the toenail dauber.  The dauber is magnificent, you use it on your toes or hard to scrub areas of your nail and stick it back in if you need more product or just to store it.  I have searched out to see if other brands include the dauber but I don't see any that do (at least from what the packaging says)!  Kudos to CVS!

What is your current nail polish removal routine?  How often do you change your polish a week?  Let me know in the comments below!

  4. I feel you w/ the traditional polish remover. I haven't tried this yet. I'm gonna check this out from Long's tomorrow. (Long's in Hawaii, CVS in mainland). And oh, as to how I remove my polish, I wet the cotton so much and let it sit on top of each nail for a minute or so and rub. Lazy way too LOL

  5. I do find sponge scrubby tubs easier than removing polish traditionally, but you must try the newer spiky scrubby tubs! After getting mine at Walmart, I've never looked back :D
