Sonia Kashuk Makeup Brushes

I was recently strolling through my local Target and I saw that a set of limited edition Sonia Kashuk brushes were clearanced.  I have been wanting them for a while and always eye them up whilst shopping.  I always pass them up though because I own so many brushes and I am trying to be good and only purchase things I need.  *LOL-yeah right!*  I could NOT pass them up this go round... and clearance means that they are doing away with them so I had to grab it if I ever wanted it.

Another item that came with the brushes is a cute little clutch.  I suppose that it is mean't to hold the brushes?  Oh well.  I keep my brushes in a jar by my makeup and I am not a huge fan of clutches so I wont be giving this adorable little bag any love.  I may use it in an upcoming giveaway, fill it with products and Rafflecopter it off!  :)  Whatcha' think?

Now I am going to talk a little about the brushes that are included going from left to right in the picture above.  The only face brush in the kit is a powder brush.  I have been using it all week for blush application and I love it.  It is super nice and soft and the perfect size for blusher.

The large angled eyeshadow brush is great.  It is densely packed and I was happy about that.  I have found that a lot of the angled eyeshadow brushes that I have purchased are sort of sparse and they blend too easily.  This one holds its shape and really applys/blends colors well.

A medium eyeshadow brush is in the kit.  It is a really nice brush for those people that aren't working with a lot of lid space.  It's size is very convenient.  It also has densely packed fibers.

There is a dome-shaped blending brush in the kid and I am really shocked at it's quality.  It is not only DENSELY packed but it almost has no give.  I was sort of skeptical at first if it was going to do any blending at all but it really is a nice brush.  It is one that I can see that I will reserve more for blending darker colors.

There is a nice small smudger brush and I have been using it DAILY to apply color to my inner corner.  It is densely packed as well (I am sorry for repeating this word so often in this post but it is the only way I know to describe it.)  It has a nice feel for it and picks up more product than any other smudger brush I have ever used before.  Probably my stand-out favorite from the set.

There is a mascara/brow spooly in the kit.  It is nice to have a few of these on hand.  After I do my brows with a powder I like to go back through and comb them with a spooly.

Last but not least is a bent eyeliner brush.  Sonia Kashuk's bent liner brushes are some of the best I have ever used.  I have a couple of other bent liner brushes from the line and they are fantastic for creating a flick. I like that they help me keeping the line precise.  The bent feature helps it be at a good angle to actually draw your eyeliner on.  Bravo!!! :)

Do you own anything from Sonia Kashuk?  Have you tried any of her brushes?  Answer me in the comments below.

xoxo,

Laura
