Boticca Experience
I wanted to share with you a non-beauty post today. I recently tried out Boticca for the first time and wanted to share my experience with you. Boticca is an online shop/market that houses lots of different independent designers of jewelry and other accessories. I love finding unique jewelry that not everyone I encounter will own. Yes I do like some popular pieces from places like Tiffany and Co, but it is more important for me to be different and unique.
I chose a beautiful sterling silver/pearl necklace and some fun walnut studs.
Because I ordered from two different designers I received two different packages in the mail at two very different times. One I received a couple of weeks later (because it shipped from the UK to the US) and the other package I got about a month later, and it shipped from Seoul, Korea.
The first designer I purchased from is Flashy Era. This is the designer located in Seoul, Korea.
The following is information about their brand from the site:
‘Flashy Era’ is an easy but stylish brand which was born in 2009 in Seoul. Flashy Era has been working with contemporary jewelry designs which motivated by a classic, bold, simple, wit and fun. Flashy era reflects the harmony of beautiful layered with your own jewelry, mixing with sophisticated compositions, so practical and beautiful. Their designs highlight a woman’s individual style and encourage self-expression.These jewelry that is not only timeless and classic but also current and reflecting fashion trends.
The piece I chose from Flash Era was very much "me". It is a nice sterling silver/pearl necklace. It is a modern twist on a classic pearl necklace. It's girly and dainty but still makes a statement. Here is the link to the specific piece on the website.
The next peice is from a designer called MANOLO. The pieces they sell are more whimsical and fun.
Here is information on the brand from the site:
"Marta Chojnacka - Artist / MA in painting and drawing at University of Warmia and Mazury (Poland). Manolo is a brand of contemporary fashion accessories created by Marta Chojnacka. She creates pieces of jewellery which have an artistic handmade origin by transforming unique hand drawn designs and make small hand made ranges. Marta uses the character and boldness she can express through drawing to give personality and texture to her jewellery pieces. Passionate about colours, painting and textures, Marta loves to experiment with different techniques and approaches on applications."
I absolutely fell in love with these gorgeous walnut studs that have an adorable anchors on them. I have said this a million and one times since starting this blog but I am a Navy wife. I take pride in that: pride in my husband for doing what he does and pride in myself for being strong enough to "let go" but not give up when he needs to leave for a while. Anytime I see something that has a Navy or nautical reference that I would actually wear/use I get excited and buy it up immediately. These are no different. They are called Sweethearts with Anchors. Here is the direct link to purchase these.
Overall I had a great experience with Boticca and I plan to make a purchase again sometime. Have you ever purchased anything from Boticca? If so, what was it? Hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know if you would like to see more non-beauty posts in the future.
xoxo,
Laura
You chose two great pieces! The pearl necklace is so sweet and classy, it could be paired with practically anything! And those earrings are so terribly cute! I've never heard of this site before, but I'll be sure to check then out now! Xo
