I am so excited to share with you my first Mystery Box from Julep. I really hit the jackpot. There are some great goodies in this box
Vanessa is a beautiful iridescent glitter in a clear base. I get mesmerized by beautiful iridescent glitters and this one is for sure a keeper! The blues in this one are what really gets me.
Christina is a beautiful color. Julep describes it as “Shimmery, deep orange–not as red as it might appear on your screen. Screams DIVA, so expect attention!” I sort of disagree. I see a beautiful red-orange but it is definitely red with some orange shimmer in it. It is absolutely stunning. The formula is great and I absolutely love it.
Parker is a beautiful orange. I think it looks sort of pumpkin-y but Julep describes it as “Golden tangerine creme. Perfect for the first pedi of sandal season.” I guess I can see tangerine, either way it is one of my favorites from the box. Possibly because of it’s absolute stunning formula. Creamy, opaque, and streak-free.
Hayden is probably one of my favorite colors in the box but the formula is a deal breaker. It was thick and goopy all while also being streaky. Julep simply describes it as a “Neon peach.“
Alyson is described as “Almond creme featured on all the runways for spring. The new neutral.” by Julep. It is a lovely formula but I am not wowed by the color. It is very reminiscent of Skull and Glossbones by OPI but just slightly more brown.
Julep describes their Fast Dry Topcoat as “A quick-dry high shine finish that prevents yellowing and protects your nail color for longer lasting mani-pedis.” I realllllly like it. It has a beautiful glide-on formula and I have to agree that this did dry super fast. I don’t know much beyond that because I just got these items last night and I have only tried them once but I can see this being my new favorite topcoat.
My favorite item in the box is the Essential Cuticle Oil. It was the one item I was hoping to receive and I am thrilled that I got it. I have horrible cuticles and I am on a mission to make them fabulous. I see all these other great nail bloggers with pretty nails and cuticles and it makes me soooo jealous. I want those pretty digits too. Julep says this is an “All-natural blend of essential oils and Vitamin E hydrates and strengthens nails and cuticles. Extends the life of your manicure while leaving a glossy sheen. Use daily to soften rough cuticles and strengthen nails. The convenient roller-ball application allows you to take your Julep Essential Cuticle Oil everywhere you go.“
Last but not least I got some pretty Nail Appliques in the style called Peacock to try. These have been huge on the market lately and I am sure that you have all seen my Kiss Nail Dress review (I absolutely adore those things) and these seem very similar in concept. I can’t wait to give them a try and do a post on them letting you know what I think.
Below I linked the video I made last night of me rambling on about the box. Feel free to watch it. If you want to get your first monthly subscription box for 1 cent then use the code “ShareOnMay“!
