I recently did a full post/review on the MAC Blonde Mineralized Skinfinish. I absolutely adore that MSF and after a day or so I realized that it is very similar to my newly acquired Cargo Louisiana. I have been wanting to own Louisiana for quite some time (half because I grew up less than an hour from the state line of Louisiana) and finally got it from a friend of mine. It didn’t work out for her, but I am happy to report that I quite like it. It is a cool toned pink.
Cut to a few pictures of the MAC Blonde Mineralize Skinfinish.
You can see that they are quite different types of product. Cargo Louisiana is a blush as to where MSF’s from MAC are generally promoted as highlighters. I find Blonde to be dark enough to wear as blush but I would like to mention it’s luminosity makes it almost unwearable as a blush for myself. Louisiana is no different. I actually can comfirm after swatches of these side by side that I prefer Blonde MSF as a blush over Louisiana. Here are some swatches.

As you can see that they blend out into virtually the same color. Blonde MSF is just a touch darker, which in my opinion makes it the more wearable of the two–as a blush. I, in turn, prefer the texture of Cargo Louisiana. It is soft and buttery smooth. It blends like a dream and that attracts me to this product above all others. I find that now I tend to wear a brighter blush on my cheek and really accent it with Cargo Louisiana. One of my sure-to-be favorites for quite a long time!
My Newest Addiction Rating: ♥♥♥♥ (4 out of 5)
The texture of all of the Cargo products that I have tried/used/swatched in the past is just amazing. I would purchase over and over!
