Tarte 8th World Wonder kit! w/ FOTD pics!
Let me start out by saying, what a FABULOUS KIT! Some of the things featured in this kit are brand new and some of them are old favorites!
The mascara is a tried and true favorite of my sisters, so it is something I have been wanting to try for quite some time. I had a sample size once and it didn't do anything for me but this full size is VAVOOM! Instant false lash effect.
The foundation is the real reason I wanted to try this kit. This is supposed to be a foundation that works for dry or oily skin types. What? Did you read that right? Yes! It is supposed to give dry skin types the moisture they need and also help control oil. I was skeptical but, because I struggle with oil production, I HAD to get my hands on this. I have worn it 6 days straight now and can say that it works for my skin completely. One of those days I was outside at a SuperCross race all day in 85+ degree weather and it stayed on. I am amazed and can't say anything but good stuff about this.
One thing I will say about the foundation is that it runs a little darker than other brands. I am usually a medium skintone but in this I had to chose light.
The brush that comes with this kit applies the foundation PERFECTLY! It may be the reason that the foundation has such a great finish. My husband actually complimented my foundation the first night I had it on! I know, right? Men don't do that!!!!
On to the blush............. what a fantastic product. This blush is a 'to die for' color. It looks good on me and I can see it looking good on many ladies, light or dark. It actually stays on too. So many times I have gotten higher end name brand blushes and been disappointed because in the middle of the day I will look in the mirror and my face looks dull. The blush wears off! Not this one! It lasts for a long time!
Now for the pictures....

Sleek Sunrise VS R&R Lust
When I first received Sleek Sunrise I thought to myself that it looked very similar to something I already owned. The blush I thought it was similar to was Rock & Republic Lust. Looking at them side by side they appear close to the same shade but after swatched you can see the differences. Sleek Sunrise is on the right in the picture below. You can tell it has a deeper gold undertone. Such a gorgeous color at an affordable drugstore price. It isn't available in the US but the website does have international shipping. Rock & Republic Lust is a gorgeous color, but it is no longer available. To me it seems a bit orangy in comparison to Sleek Sunrise.

NARS Deep Throat Blush
I have been using this nearly every day for the past month. It gives me such a pretty natural flush.
Wet N Wild Brulee single e/s
I like to use shimmery shades on my lid and sometimes my crease and this is the perfect matte highlight.
Makeup Forever Mat Velvet +
I find that this foundation doesn't make me matte, but that look is often unflattering anyway. This foundation makes my skin look like actual skin.
Garnier Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller
This product really brightens my under eyes. I don't have any dark circles, but this brings a glow to my under eye.
Maybelline The Falsies mascara
Wonderful mascara for out-there lashes. The formula dries on the lashes to a lightweight-wont weigh your lashes down-consistency.
Laura Mercier Eye Basics Primer in Wheat
I find that this primer creates a smooth surface that helps my eyeshadow to blend more easily. It also does a great job at concealing discoloration on my eyelids.
MAC MSFN in Medium
This powder is great used alone for days you are in a hurry to get out the door. Great coverage and doesn't look flat like most powders.
Everyday Minerals flat top kabuki
I use this brush in conjunction with the MAC MSFN. It helps to buff the powder into the skin and give a great amount of coverage.

Rock & Republic Brush Set
When this brush set arrived at my door I was super excited to open it up! I had already purchased the blending brush from a Hautelook sale and was excited to try the rest of them. They are such a great quality! Icing on the cake was the eyeshadow trio that came with the brush set. The trio has Affair, Twisted and Fatalistic in it. They are fantastic!
Fatalistic is a matte black. Twisted is a purple with a blue pearl duochrome shimmer. Affair is a beautiful cream/champagne color. They are so pigmented and a little goes a long way, but the pans are so large you don't have to worry about wasting it anyway!
This is a shot of the flat top brush. It is so densly packed and feels soooo great against my skin!
I threw this shot in to show that the size of the shadows are huge! O_O
Thanks for looking! Have a great day!
