Sleek Oh So Special Review, Tutorial and FOTD

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Oh So Special palette!  A sweetawesomesexyhilariousfantastico person sent it to me!  It is SO pretty.  I decided to do some swatches and review it for you!  I would first like to start off by saying that I am glad that Sleek labels the shades (sort of) now.  My other 3 palettes don't have any descriptive words to define any of the shades.  The fact they have names will help me remember what shades I like.  I am a name kind of girl.. I can't remember a random place in a palette...

I swatched in the exact placement that they are in the palette.

I for one think that these shadows are pigmented.  Some are silky smooth while others are creamy.  Both are textures I enjoy.  Each of these swatches was done with just a couple swipes.  I think this may rival the Storm palette as my favorite... Not sure yet.. but we will see.  I played around with it for the first time today!  The sweet Anastacia asked me to do a picture tutorial with the palette so here it is.  Hope you enjoy! (It is my 2nd one.. I think it is the first decent one that I have done though!)  If you like these picture tutorials PLEASE let me know in the comments below.  I would like to do them if you enjoy them.  If you feel like it is something you can figure out on your own let me know that too.  I don't want to fill my blog with content that my viewers find useless.  On to the tutorial.

First, prep the lids by applying your favorite primer.  I used Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat.

On the lid, apply the shade called Gift Basket.

For the crease and outer v I used a mixture of Boxed and Wrapped Up.  I also applied it on the outer 2/3s of the lower lash line.

I blended the top part of the crease with The Mail and I highlighted the brow with Bow.  I highlighted the inner corner with Organza.  I did meet the Organza color up with the darker colors along the bottom lash line.

I used a Bare Escentuals retractable liner on the outer 1/3 of my upper and lower lash line and applied mascara.  I applied it to the outer 1/3 because it can help define your lash line without closing the eye up.  I like to emphasize/enlarge my eyes as much as possible.  The mascara I used in this tutorial is Mally Volumizing.  I also applied a nude liner to the waterline to give my eyes a wide awake, fresh appearance.

I really hope you liked the tutorial!  Now for a full face shot!  Or two...

It wouldn't be a LauraJean396 FOTD without some crazy stray hair in front of my face, now would it? :P
